In the heart of the Sundarbans so grand,
Lies a king, majestic and grand,
With stripes of black and orange so bright,
The tiger, ruler of the wild and light.
With eyes that gleam in the light of dawn,
And a roar that echoes far beyond,
He patrols his kingdom, far and wide,
With grace and power, side by side.
His strength and beauty, unmatched and rare,
Inspire awe in all who dare,
To glimpse him in his natural home,
In the Sundarbans, where he roams.
And though he is feared by many, still,
His presence is essential to the shrill,
Of life in the delta, where rivers meet,
And the tiger reigns, powerful and fleet.
So let us cherish this wild and free,
Creature of grace, for all to see,
And protect the Sundarbans, where he roams,
The tiger, king of the mangrove swamps.
