Oh Kazi Nazrul, the rebel poet true,

Whose verses flow like the winds anew,

In words of defiance, you raised your pen,

Against the oppressors and their unjust men,

Chanting for freedom, justice and rights,

Empowering the weak with your poems’ might.

From the depths of your soul, you wrote of love,

Of devotion, beauty, and blessings from above,

Inspiring all to soar on wings of peace,

And cherish the world with its diversity.

Though time may pass, your legacy remains,

Echoing through the ages, unchanging its strains,

A guiding light for all who seek to know,

The path of truth, freedom, and its glow.

So here's to you, Kazi Nazrul, our bard,

The voice of the people, the voice of the heart,

A shining star that will forever shine,

A source of inspiration, till the end of time.

Kazi Nazrul Islam was a Bengali poet, musician, and playwright who lived from 1899 to 1976. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest poets in the Bengali language and is known for his rebellion against British colonial rule in India.
